Flu Vaccines Available Now ...

  • Non-funded flu vaccine are available now. We have Flucelvax or Fluad

  • Funded flu vaccines (free for those that are eligible) start from 1st of April 2026


Which Flu Vaccine is Right for Me and my Family?

  • Influvac Tetra $36 or free aged 65 or high risk- Egg based quadrivalent approved from 6 months of age, suitable for use in pregnancy. Standard first-line choice contains 4 flu strains

  • Flucelvax $42 for 6 months to 49 years- Cell-based- the only egg-free option of the three may offer a modest effectiveness advantage over egg-based vaccines. No antibiotics used in manufacture.

  • Fluad $45 for 50 years and older- Egg-based but adjuvanted (MF59) for a stronger immune response. Best suited to older adults with weaker immune responses, contains traces of kanamycin and neomycin- avoid if anaphylaxis to these.



*Flucelvax and Fluad vaccines protect against 3 strains of flu. They do not protect against the B/Yamagata virus as it is no longer circulating. However, it is still included in the funded Influvac Tetra for 2026.
