Medical Receptionist

Job description

About You

This Medical Receptionist / Administrator role is pivotal in our Medical Centre, serving as the first point of contact with our Patients. 

This role prioritizes daily workflows and managing the expectations of both Doctors and Patients.

Working 5 days per week.

 

Tasks & Responsibilities 

Greeting and arriving Patients.

Answering phones.

Scheduling and managing appointments.

Addressing Patient concerns.

New Patient registrations.

Maintaining records.

Patient data security.

Adhering to regulations (e.g. Patient privacy).

Invoicing and processing payments.

Bank reconciliations.

Accounts administration.

 

Skills & Experience

You will have previous customer service experience in medical reception and office administration. 

At least 1 year of Medical Reception experience.

Medtech32 / Evolution experience essential.

Microsoft Office experience. 

Accounts administration; invoicing and reconciling payments. 

Strong communication skills and high attention to detail. 

Ability to work autonomously and as part of a team.

Flexibility and eagerness to learn. 

High levels of resilience and empathy.

Current NZ Driver’s license.

About Us

We are a privately owned Family Medical Centre located in Milford on the North Shore.

Our team consists of 6 part time GP’s, 3 Nurses, 4 Receptionists, and a full-time Business Manager.

Our business hours are between 8am and 6pm Monday to Friday, no weekend work.

We offer a supportive work environment which is fast-paced and fun. 

There is free parking available nearby.
