We are pleased to inform you that the flu vaccine is now available at Milford Family Medical Centre. Protect yourself and loved ones this flu season by getting vaccinated. To schedule an appointment, go to Manage My Health and book with our nursing team or call the clinic for an appointment.


The 2025 flu vaccine is free for some people

The flu vaccine is free for people at higher risk of getting very sick, including:

  • people aged 65 years and over

  • people aged 6 months and over who have a long term medical condition like diabetes, asthma, or a heart condition

  • pregnant people

  • tamariki (children) aged 4 years and under who have been hospitalised for respiratory illness, or have a history of significant respiratory illness

  • people with mental health conditions, including schizophrenia, major depressive disorder, bipolar disorder, or schizoaffective disorder

  • people who are currently accessing secondary or tertiary mental health and addiction services.

The funded flu vaccine for tamariki and adults (6 months of age and over) available in Aotearoa New Zealand is called Influvac Tetra.

We know that getting sick and needing support for you or your whānau doesn’t always happen during clinic hours. We wanted to give you an update on after-hours support should you need it.

 

Our regular clinic hours are 8:00am to 5:00pm, Monday to Friday.

 

If you need support outside of our clinic hours, please call Healthline on 0800 611 116. They provide free, 24/7 health advice and information from nurses, paramedics and trusted healthcare providers.

 

In an emergency, please call 111.
